There’s no single answer — duration depends on player numbers, number of teams and how much is being photographed for each person. That said, there are a few reliable factors that determine how long your Photo Day will run.

The biggest factor: player numbers

A single squad of 20-25 players can typically be photographed in under an hour. A full club with multiple grades across a full day of junior and senior football, netball or soccer needs a properly scheduled block — often a morning or a full day, broken into time slots per team.

What adds time

Individual portraits with multiple poses take longer per player than a single team photograph. Position groups, captain shots and coach portraits all add to the running order. The more deliverables in your package, the more time each player or team needs in front of the camera.

What saves time

A clear schedule that tells each team when to arrive is the single biggest time-saver. Clubs that assign someone to help move teams through in order — rather than leaving it informal — consistently run faster, smoother Photo Days.

Planning your day

We build a running order with every club before the day itself, based on your player numbers and package, so you know roughly how long to block out before it happens — not after.
